Vision of Laguna State Polytechnic University

 The University shall be known as:

        
            "A premier university in CALABARZON, offering academic programs and related services designed to respond to the requirements of the Philippines and the global economy particularly Asian countries.

 

Mission of Laguna State Polytechnic University

 

            The university shall primarily provide advanced education, professional, technological and vocational instruction in Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry, Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Teacher Education, Medicine, Law, Arts and Sciences, Information Technology and other related fields. It shall also undertake Research and Extension Services center and provide progressive leadership in its area of specialization.

 

Goals of the College of Engineering

 

Instruction

 

1. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, physical sciences, life and information sciences; and engineering sciences appropriate to the field of practice.
2. An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
3. An ability to design a system, component and process to meet the desired needs within the identified constraints.
4. An ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
5. An ability to recognize, formulate and solve engineering problems.
6. Recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibility.
7. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing using the English language.
8. Understanding the effects of engineering solution in a comprehensive context.

 

Research and Development

 

1. Produce faculty and students’ researches utilizing available resources.
2. Make faculty researches relevant to institutional needs.
3. Develop instructional materials for instruction and production to serve as income-generating projects for each department.
4. Generate feasibility studies, experimental researches and action researches in different fields.
5. Formulate strategies for fund sourcing in government as well as private sector or research projects.
6. Apply for membership in research networks of experimental stations and establish linkages with other national and international research institution.

 

Extension

 

1. Promote viable linkages and transfer of technology in different field of competencies.
2. Gain active participation of the people in all institutional activities and create annexes in strategic areas.
3. Upgrade information dissemination system using the modern communication technology.
4. Source out needed resources to complement regular budgetary allocation to improve existing programs as well as physical facilities.
5. Establish an Extension Center that will facilitate all the operations and management of extension programs and community services.

 

Objective of the Electronics Engineering

 

1.    To provide the student with an education in the fundamentals of electronics engineering that will allow him to be immediately competitive in industry or in graduate work while providing him with the best opportunity for achieving his full potential during his lifetime.

2.    To develop a sense of professional responsibility and social awareness.

3.    To provide practical applications as evidenced by laboratory, design, project study, computer exercises and practicum courses. These will help the student to work well whether independently or as part of a group.
